Many citizens of the former Soviet Union lived “ordinary lives in ordinary times”, where the fate of men and women depended not on armed coercion, but Soviet ideology and propaganda. Adopting and Remembering Soviet Reality contains the stories of ten women, talking about their lives in Soviet Lithuania, one of the annexed Baltic republics.

The research "Stereotypes of gender roles in the occupational field" is intended to reveal traditional stereotypes of social gender that influence equal opportunities for men and women in the occupational field. The research is based on the review of strategic provisions establishing the principle of gender equality in Lithuanian politics, also on the consideration of statistics of gender occupation and discussion on the studies of social gender stereotypes in Lithuania performed until 2007 and the data of the newly made study on gender role stereotypes in the occupational field. Read more

Since 1999 till 2002 the Gender Studies Centre has been publishing an annual journal "Feminizmas, visuomenė, kultūra" (Feminism, Society, Culture). It was the only interdisciplinary journal in Lithuania and the Baltics that focuses on the women's and gender studies.
